Sherry Beckham

Founder & Lead Instructor, Divine CPR Plus

Sherry Beckham’s passion has always been rooted in teaching and helping others—a trait those around her recognize immediately. Her journey into service began in 2005, starting as a volunteer at her children’s school and as a Guardian for Cincinnati Area Senior Services. Even after the profound loss of both parents just eight months apart, Sherry’s resilient spirit led her back to the community, where she continues to give her time and heart to local organizations.

A Professional Foundation

With over 20 years in the healthcare industry, Sherry Beckham combines her experience as a Registered Medical Assistant with her background as a Community Healthcare Worker, which she also utilizes through dedicated volunteer services.

As a mother and grandmother, she knows firsthand the importance of being prepared for an emergency and she understands how quickly everyday moments can become emergencies — and why preparedness matters.

The Spark of a Calling

Her path into CPR instruction began unexpectedly but purposefully when her brother, Anthony, a Registered Nurse, asked her to help instruct a class of over 40 participants. Watching the students' fear and uncertainty transform into confidence changed everything for her. To Sherry, it felt like the moment she taught her own children to ride their bikes—the shift from hesitation to empowerment was undeniable. That experience revealed her true calling: to teach lifesaving skills with compassion, clarity, and purpose.

From "Be Defined" to "Divine"

Driven by a passion to teach and help others, in January 2023, Sherry established Be Defined Training & Companion Care LLC. As the mission expanded, it became clear that the brand needed to reflect a higher standard. In December 2024, the company officially began doing business as Divine CPR Plus.

“Divine” reflects a shift from simply defining the work to honoring the divine purpose behind saving a life—guided by faith and protection. “CPR” represents the core of her expertise, while the “Plus” signifies that this is more than just a class; it is an experience that provides the education, skills, and support needed for total confidence.

Our Mission Today

Today, Sherry is driven by a mission to educate anyone willing to learn. She equips employers, organizations, agencies, families, and individuals with the skills to respond in different basic medical emergencies, ensuring they leave her presence with the absolute confidence that they can react when it matters most.
